ACTE and OkACTE Awards must be applied for via the ACTE Portal. Applications are due March 1, 2024. 

ACTE Awards include:

  • Counseling & Career Development Award

  • Teacher of the Year

  • Administrator of the Year

  • Postsecondary Professional of the Year

  • New Teacher of the Year

  • Teacher Educator of the Year

  • Carl Perkins Community Service Award

  • Lifetime Achievement Award

This award is given to a person that is not a member of the CCD Division in recognition of outstanding service to the field of Guidance.

Applications Due: May 1, 2024

OkACTE Awards must be applied for via the ACTE portal. Applications are due May 1, 2024.

OkACTE Awards include:

  • OkACTE Kaleidoscope Award

  • OkACTE New Professional Award

This grant is designed to establish or provide additional funds for special projects or professional development, not duplicated allocated funds. If the proposal is funded, the recipient will be expected to provide a report or give a presentation during the next scheduled business meeting or Guidance Division related conference.

  • December 15  - Deadline for mini-grant application to be used the following semester

  • June 30 - Deadline for mini-grant application to be used the following semester

The McCharen Award is presented to an individual OkACTE CCD member who consistently contributes to the advancement of career guidance/counseling during the year.  This person may be a “behind the scenes” player or a person in the forefront.  Up to three awards will be given at Oklahoma Summit.
